Hello Trailblazers,
I want to send task assignment email from org wide email address in the activity tab. The org wide email address is enabled and is appearing in from dropdown when sending an email from the activity tab but when I am assigning a task to particular user the email is not getting sent from the org wide email address. Any suggestions on what I am missing.

The only way to specify the from address would be to use the Send Better Email action from Unofficial SF:
