We have implemented Enhanced Recurring Donations.  It works well for us, but one issue is that our donors typically make a pledge such as $1,000/year for 10 years, and usually that means they will make 10 annual payments. But sometimes they might make multiple payments in a year, but not monthly.  We'd like to keep the Recurring Type = Fixed, but the number of payments flexible.  We use a custom field to track their total original pledge.
