Tried installing by accessing AppExchange from my brand new developer org, asks me to log into AppExchange which I do, Allowed Access, returns Login Successful with no options but to close the browser window that popped up. Just keeps returning to Login to AppExchange window. Rinse, lather, repeat...
Tried installing NPSP from the page on powerofus hub. Takes me to
https://install.salesforce.org/products/npsp/3.166/installwith an error already on the page:
'Uh oh, we've encountered an error. You may need to reload the page.
<h1>Server Error (500)</h1>'. If I then continue to install, it prompts me to confirm Product Terms of Use and Licenses. It then throws this error below the one from when I first navigated to the page:

Authentication credentials were not provided.
Any help would be appreciated!
A trial is the best way to check out NPSP by far. You avoid having to do post-install setup that you'd have to configure. Although, a trial will expire after 30 days. So if you're hoping to keep the org w/NPSP around for a while a Dev with NPSP install is something to consider.
