Workflow rule for marking a reservation confirmed instead of web-sign-uo

Hi!

Im trying to set up a workflow rules that set the status of a reservation to confirmed instead of web sign up when a volunteer signs up for a shift on the web page. Has anyone done this and can give me some pointers on how do to it?
