What is the very simplest method - hopefully a single-step method - of importing a set of contacts from a spreadsheet into SF as Contacts AND ALSO adding them as Campaign Members to a Campaign?
I need to matching for existing Contacts by email in order to prevent dups.
I don't need the Contact2 and Account creation abilities of NPSP Data Importer.
The easiest method for a non-technical user I can think of is to use SF's Data Import wizard to import and match the Contacts, then run a report isolating those Contacts and use the Add to Campaign button. Or use Apsona then the report and Add To Campaign button.
I could also use DI, but for such a simple import, it's an extra step to use Data Import wizard to load the data, then DI to add the records to Contact.
I was hoping SF's Data Import wizard could do the Add To Campaign as part of the import process, but I can't find this feature. Also didn't see any way with Apsona.
Any thoughts? Am I missing something?
If you have the right permissions set up, users can import directly into a Campaign from the Campaign record. The option is a drop down from the "Manage Members" button. This might help: https://help.salesforce.com/HTViewHelpDoc?id=campaign_update_wizard.htm&language=en_US.
