Prior to 2 months ago, all recurring donations automatically followed the work flow to make the opportunity name equal to the fund selected for the donation. Now, it keeps the default opportunity name for recurring donations. All regular, one-time donations still follow the work flow, and even a few recurring ones do. What happened?

@Jordan Fischer I suspect there was a change made to one of your Workflows in April then. Take a look at check to see which affect the Opty Name. Another suggestion is to add History Track onto the Name field so you can watch what happens from the History related list on the Opportunity.
You may want to consider removing that workflow altogether and replacing it with the NPSP naming functionality in the future.
