I can only find information about the selling of products and how to use the sales interface for the normal SF edition and not for NGO connect. For example, I can't attach products to new opportunity etc. Is it still possible to connect the sales of some products to the NGO connect version? I just need a simple quotes/order process (already downloaded the app as well but that did not help much).

@Nonprofit Get Started Hub@Nonprofit Success Pack@Nonprofit App Advice and ReviewsHey - I don't know NGO connect, but it's unlikely they've done anything to disable the default product management functionality in Salesforce - so in theory you should be able to do this.
A few things to check:
Have you created a price book by chance? Price books are necessary for Salesforce to know a base set of pricing to work from with each product. You can't attach products without them.
Beyond that - makes sure your user has at least read access for both product and price books objects, and know the product object doesn't use standard sharing settings, it's controlled by profile and permission set options.
