CPQ Quote approvals ( Process Instance)

We have recently implemented CPQ and  a quote approval process is in place where managers are given the option to reassign, reject or accept on the process instance. There is currently no way for them to ask a question without choosing one of these options or leaving the page and using an IM platform. Is there any functionality I can leverage where the managers can ask questions about the quote record without having to select any of these options first and without having to go to another IM platform. We have chatter but it doesnt work with process instance as the record can not be assigned to this lightning component as its from out of the box CPQ package?

 

Not sure if it is possible to somehow email a reply back which is captured on chatter?

    Hi GC,

     

    You can enable chatter on quotes:

     

    Go to Setup --> Customize --> Chatter --> Feed Tracking --> Quote.
