i.e if i am a sales rep and want to edit the field in SFDC - right now i have to open each tab. I just want them to look at one view and edit in each column

Hi Alex,
You can't edit report however you can create a lead view or contact view(whichever your organisation follow) where you can do the inline editing for which you don't have to open each record.
Enabling Inline view editing-
Go to your profile click setting then go to user interface and enable inline editing.
Note:- If you use record type to differentiate your leads or contacts make sure for every lead or contact record type is updated.
