I created a validation rule and selected the error message to appear bottom of a field.
The error fires with no issues but the error message appears at the top of the page instead of the bottom of the field I selected.
The error message will have the name of the field as the prefix of the error message. (eg: Account ID if i select Account Name as the field)
Does anybody know why this is happening?

Do you have any other Validation Rules with a similar error message?
I still think that it's odd that your error message is not red and does not appear to display the way that mine are.
Do you have any custom VisualForce on the page?
Do you have Visually Impared Settings turned on?
