Entitlement templates allow an Entitlement to be associated with a Product so every time the Product is sold the Entitlement is automatically granted to the customer.
My problem is I can't figure out if this is actually supposed to happen automatically or do I need to create an automation myself? I can't find a single example of how a Entitlement template that is related to a product becomes an entitlement on an account that purchases that product.
I've tried to closed won an opportunity with a product that has the entitlement template, but that doesn't put an entitlement on the Account.
Is that how it's supposed to work?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Phil,
As per this article (https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=entitlements_setting_up_templates.htm&type=5&sfdcIFrameOrigin=null) and this trailhead module (https://trailhead.salesforce.com/content/learn/modules/entitlements/entitlements_starting), entitlement templates are not copied automatically to the account. Instead, they appear in that account's assets so that an agent can see them.
