James Paul (Lewer Companies) 님이 #Collaboration에 질문했습니다
My team is looking for a way to share information from the account level to the opportunity level.  We have this figured out basically creating notes at the account level and associating notes with each opportunity.  This seems to work ok for them as they also create notes for each opportunity so they can keep notes specific to the opportunity separate from the others.  This works now, but I feel like it will have diminishing returns as the notes get bigger over time.  There's also the security constraint that only the originator of the note (and admins) have the ability to edit the note and add new associations.  This is very limiting to our producers.

Business Logic:

  • Notes at account level visible on all opportunity records
  • Notes at account level associated and visible on specific opportunity
  • Editable by all users

What I'm looking for is whether or not this is the correct approach.  I have talked to the users about activities, but they can only be associated with a single "WhatId" so that won't work.  The only thing missing here is the ability for people other than the originator or the admin to be able to update the note or change the associations.

I've also looked into using quip as that seems to be a tool geared more towards collaboration which is what they're trying to accomplish here.  This may be overkill for one and they don't always want to be sharing opportunities for another.

Thoughts from the community?  Much appreciated!

    Hi James,

Just a thought you can rbing over a related list from the parent into the child.

so if you have account notes (or which ever child object) you can show it into opportunities

have a look at the lightnign app/page builder
