I want to import the accounts sales figures from sage 50 into salesforce, I can create a spreadsheet but I can't find a definite guide to do the rest.
What fields do I need in the spreadsheet ?
Do I need to create any fields in opportunities ?
Do I import the data via Data Import Wizard ?
I am trying to make the dashboard realistic showing current customer sales and targets, our business is brewing where we sell to the same customers weekly. My plan is to create a process/report that I can run in sage to get the data (I can manage this part) and then import the data to update the weekly sales in salesforce. The oportunities field is just blank at the moment, a new set up where I have imported all the accounts and contacts.
Thanks in advance,
Gordon

The required fields are:
Opportunity Name: 120 character limit
AccountID (I'm assuming you imported your Sage 50 account ID or some other external id right?)
Stage: which you can set all of them to Closed Won
Close Date: in yyyy-mm-dd format
Other fields you should probably add:
Amount
If you have other values you want to bring over from Sage, you can see if they line up with any standard Opportunity fields, otherwise you would need to create those fields.
For loading the data, I would use Data Loader as you'll need to map using your external ID's for AccountID
