Create Date Formula In Report Builder

I'm looking to count the number of days between two date fields for a report. However when I try to create a formula within the report builder, the date fields are not included in the list of summary fields? The goal of my report is to count the number of days between two dates and have the average at the bottom of the report. I know you can create a formula field in the actual object but is there anyway to create date formulas within the report builder?

    Hi Robert,

     

    Unfortunately Date fields are not available in the Custom Summary Formula fields, you have to create the formula field on the object and use that in the Custom Summary Formula Field.
