Currently, my validation rule is on the Case object and it checks for the Case Origin field and the related Contact email field. But, I would prefer the validation rule be on the Contact object.

Hi Jeff,
I think short of some custom coding, your validation rule will have to remain on the Case, this is because there is no way to reference the case object from the Contact.
If you are on the child object you have access to reference the parent, but when you are in the parent it is not possible to look down to the child.
