Decouple Connector from SFMC and MS Dynamics

Question

Client Moving from MS Dynamics to Salescloud. Currently using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) which has the connector integrated to MS Dynamics.

Can you decouple (unhook) the connector from Dynamics and use the connector to point - integrate SFMC to the new Salescloud?

I assume yes - any gotchas, articles, etc?
