Custom Compact Layout Flags?

Question

Is there a way to put a color flag or alert at the top of an object/record? I'm looking to add colors or flags depending on the status of the account. If it's new, if it's maintaining, if it qualifies for a rebate, etc. It would be based on fields I already have set up. Is there a way to do that? I couldn't find any information online about it, or perhaps I'm searching the wrong thing. Thanks for any info.

Hi Angela,

There are several options you can go for, such as an image formula that I'm sure will pop up here a few times. But there's one option which might work well for you:

1. Start by creating formula (checkbox) fields for the types of alerts you want to show. For example, one that returns whether or not an order qualifies for a rebate.

2. Open a record and click the gear icon on the top right corner. Select Edit Page.

3. Drag one Rich Text component somewhere on the page, preferably above the record details, and type in your alert.

4. Using conditional visibility, make the alert only visible if the record meets the criteria (use your formula field)

5. Repeat for each alert you want to create

6. Save and activate your lightning page

Thank you for that tip! I used to be able to add images to rich text editors, but I can't seem to do that anymore. It shows up on my end, but for anybody else it shows that the link to the image is broken. Does the rich text editor allow for html links to images? I assume I could upload those graphics somewhere on SFDC and link them.
