Auto merge leads into contacts via matching custom fields.

We have leads that are coming in with custom ID fields that match the Custom ID field on the account.  Is there some APEX snippet I can use to automatically merge these leads into contacts for the matching account?

    Hi Brandon,

     

    Rather than looking for an apex based solution I would recommend to go with a process builder and flow based solution which would be much more easier to setup. I have explained how to setup process and flow for a very similar scenario in my blog post below.
