How do you check in advance which workflow rule/Process will be triggered if you make a certain change to a record?

Hi,

I want to mass update a large number of Cotact records and want to make sure that the change won't trigger any outbound emails. How do you check if a certain change to a record can trigger workflow/Process beforehand?

Hi Yusuke,

You can go to setup and check for any process builder and workflow rule written on Contact Object. Then you can match the criteria, to be sure about the firing of any of rules. If you don't want any rule to fire, you can simply deactivate that.

Thanks Ajeet,    I guess that is the only way. I was wondering if there is a way or tool to easily look up which workflow/process would get affected by a certain action. Thanks anyways!
