How can I mass delete deals?

Question

We are massively changing an old setup of SalesForce and I need to delete most everything. There does not appear to be a "Mass Delete" function for Deals. We have roughly 300 Deals records that need to be deleted.

How can this be accomplished?

Then here you go:

Run a Report on this object and make sure that you include the ID column
Export the same as CSV
Log into
Dataloader.IO( http://dataloader.io )
Click New Task and select DELETE
Select the Object
Hit Next
Map the ID Column
Hit Next
Click Save & Run

Also, I would suggest you to take Backup of your Data before you DELETE it.

Have you tried using the out-of-the-box Truncate [1] feature ?    Note  : If not enabled, you can enable that at - Setup | User Interface | Enable Custom Object Truncate (under  Setup  section)   [1]:  Custom Object Truncate  ( https://help.salesforce.com/HTViewHelpDoc?id=dev_object_trunc_overview.htm&language=en_US#.Truncating )
