Order Tracking: How do I log shipments for a multi-unit order that will be shipped over the course of several months?

I have an order for 50 units, with two units shipping out each week over the course of 25 weeks. Is there a way for me to create a field in the orders tab (or elsewhere) so that I can track how many units have shipped and how many remain on the order?
