Excluding the Do Not Contacts

Does anyone know if there any way can I exclude "do not contact" households/contacts when I am building my membership mailing campaigns? ​ Same with our "deceased" members. 

 

I work for a small non-profit and we use SF for managing membership, mailings, and donations. I am relatively new to Salesforce so I'm hoping this is a simple thing I just haven't been able to find.

    Hi Sarah,

     

    Couple questions:

    1. Are you using "Classic" or "Lightning"?
    2. How are you tracking your contacts that have asked to be opted out or passed away? Are you using fields on the contact to do so, or some other method? 

    Depending on how you are tracking, it should be as easy as building a report and then filtering out records before adding them to your campaign.
