I do not want to have to run a report to show this and do not just want a sum of the number of opportunities, but instead want to be able to see each opportunity from the parent account and be able to navigate to them.
I assume the only way out for that would be to create a custom Visualforce Page(that'll require some Development Effort) and place it right on the Account Detail Page.
