In our org, the owner of the account owns also all the belonging contacts in general.
But there are some few exceptions were the contact owner differs from the account owner (e.g. longterm relationship, personal connection etc.)
Can we somehow mark those contacts, that in the future when there is a new account owner and we want to mass transfer the accounts with all belonging contacts to this new owner->only the one that aren't flagged will get assigned to the new owner? the others remain with the same old one.

You could do a bulk update. Just deactivate the rule, do a bulk update, and reactivate the rule
