I've created an ultimate parent account field.
That the formula;
IF(NOT(ISBLANK(Parent.Parent.Parent.Parent.Parent.Name)), Parent.Parent.Parent.Parent.Parent.Name,
IF(NOT(ISBLANK(Parent.Parent.Parent.Parent.Name)), Parent.Parent.Parent.Parent.Name,
IF(NOT(ISBLANK(Parent.Parent.Parent.Name)), Parent.Parent.Parent.Name,
IF(NOT(ISBLANK(Parent.Parent.Name)), Parent.Parent.Name,
IF(NOT(ISBLANK(Parent.Name)),Parent.Name,
Name)))))
It is working fine. The only problem I have is that, when doing reports (and especially showing all opportunities with partners attached to it), I'd like to group by ultimate parent account of the partner accounts and not the accounts of the opportunities. But per default it always shows me only the account of the opportunities.
So I though I need to create a custom field "ultimate partner parent account" which should only give the ultimate parent for all account type=partner.
Im trying to add that to above formula but always getting syntax error for "type"

Can you please help me solve this. Or do you have another solution how I can show in reports the ultimate parent of "partner accounts" instead of the opportunities accounts?
