Can another object lookup a campaign member?

We want to connect 2 campaign members together on teh same campaign showing a connection.  I determined I can't do this with the standard Campaign Member fields.  So, I created a custom object as the "relationship" connection, but I still can't create a lookup field on the custom object to the campaign members.

 

I wanted to create 1 record on this custom object with 2 lookup fields for the campaign members to show the relationship. How can I do this?

    Amber,

     

    Campaign Member is still one of those "special" objects within Salesforce.  It is not directly available in a Lookup Relationship.  It is a connection between the Campaign and either the lead or contact.

     

    You could add custom fields to the campaign member object that are lookup relationships to Lead  and another one to Contact.  This would connect them together for display, if that helps.
