Hi Abby,
As I understand, you wish to send a notification to the respective Support Rep as well along with the Sales Rep assigned to the Lead.
One declarative solution I could think and test in my DE Org is as follows -
1. Create a new Email field on the Lead object. You can hide it from the UI for end users. This field is going to contain the email address of the Support Rep to whom we wish to send the notification.
2. Create a new WF Rule that runs on new Lead creation only. This WF rule will have two actions as mentioned below.
3. Action 1: Create a new Field Update within this WF that updates the new Email field we created in step 1 with the Support Rep's email address. Here the complexity is in building the logic within the formula of the WF Field Update to get to the Support Rep's User record email field. If you can get there then the solution is a hit.
4. Action 2: Create a new Email Alert within the same WF rule that sends the mail to the Support Rep. Here you can choose Recipient as Email Field and then select the new field created in step 1.
So basically what we are doing here is populating a new Email field with the required email address and then sending it a mail notification.
I tested it in my DE Org and it worked fine for me.
The other way I could think of if this does not work is to use Trigger. But lets first give the above a chance.
