picklist field name does not exist

Hi all,

 

I'm trying to report on pick list values and am trying to use the solution 000004482 (https://help.salesforce.com/apex/HTViewSolution?id=000004482&language=en_US).

 

My equation is: if (includes (HW_Article__c, "Product_1"), 1, 0)

 

However, I keep getting the following error: Error: Invalid custom summary formula definition: Field HW_Article__c does not exist. Check spelling.

 

I've even copied and pasted in the name from the Setup page to make sure it is spelled correctly.What am I doing wrong? Can this not be done for multi select picklist field types?

    You have to actually create that on the Object and not on the Report

    . On the Object, create a Formula Field like as below - 

    1. Label: Includes Product 1
    2. Type: Formula
    3. Return Type: Number
    4. Formula: 

      IF(INCLUDES(HW_Article__c, "Product_1"), 1, 0)

    And then use that in the report!
