How do I add a formula to my report where the last modified date is being substracted from Today ()? I basically would like to get all open records where there is no activity in the last 30 days and last modified date is my reference. Can you please help me get the proper syntax for Today()-LastModifiedDate?
PS: I cannot possibly add a new field into the custom object.

Just expose all your data.
Then in your filters you can use this as a filter.
