I'm very much puzzled by the fact that I'm unable to get to a specific account's record type by putting the actual record type id into the URL. I'm an admin and do not have any restrictions, I always use an id of an object or account / contact I need to view by putting a specific id into the URL and it always works. But for some reason if I do the same for the record type I get Insufficient Privileges error message. Any ideas what needs to done to rectify this issue?
Thank you for your reply. But why the short version of URL works for everything else? I need to update a number of accounts by resetting their record type and if I were to use RecordTypeID in my update it does not work.
