I have added a new field that we are going to use to track plan size moving forward. The old field was a formula field that we are no longer using but need to transfer the data in the old field to the new field for existing opportunities. How can I best do this so we dont have to keep both fields on the page layout?
Export the data to a CSV file using a Report or Data Export tool like Dataloader or DataloaderIO. Then update your new field with the data you extracted via an Import/Update using the DataLoader or DataLoaderIO.
