Can we create a Custom Button on related list

I have a custom Object as Student__C and has a look up relationship on Quote object.Now i would like to create a custom Button and display it on related list.How to Achieve this?

    Hi meghna,

     

    First you have to create a custom button on student__c whose display type should be "List Button"

     

     Setup >Build>Create>Objcets>student__c  > Button And Links > Custom Button And Links > New > Create custom button with display type "List Button"

     

    Now your button is ready to be used on related list. Now if you want to add this on Quote's student__c related list 

     

    Setup >Build>Create>Objcets>student__c  > Page Layout > Edit > Go to related list > Properties of student__c Related list > Buttons > Select your custom button from multiselect picklist and add it in Selected Button picklist > Save.
