
If I have johndoe@mac.com as a contact on three separate accounts, will Salesforce mass email send 3 separate emails to John Doe?
I know that I can manually go through and double check but is there something built into the Salesforce mass email function to automate this?
Anyone know the answer?

Having a contact listed on 3 seperate accounts is not best practice. Why not use contact roles to relate a single contact record to all accounts they are affiliated with?
To answer your question, no, it will not de-dupe if you have the same email listed 3 times on 3 different record id's. I recommend exporting your list, de-duping, then importing into a campaign if you are unable to clean your lists internally.
