Map Custom Event Fields to a Custom Account Field associated with them

Question

I'm trying to figure out a way to map a custom date field from an event onto the Account the event is associated with. On the Event it shows the link to the account that it's "Related to", but I can't seem to find a way through Lookup fields or Custom formula's to find a relationship between the two records.

Can anyone help me out?

Is this something that needs to be done with a trigger?

No! You can do this by creating a  Process  on the Event -        Select the Object and the When to Start the Process     Setup the Filter Criteria     Add an Update Records action [Immediate Action]     Select the Account field from the Event object     Select the Field on the Account that has to be Updated     Save them and Activate!
