I am trying to put together a report to analyze revenue by origination date (pretty much the same thing as close date), and ideally would want to display this in a Matrix report - but the problem is I need to group by Year, Quarter, and Customer. It seems that SFDC has a hard limit of 2 row groupings.... is there a workaround or any other option that would allow me to achieve the same kind of look and feel - but with three row groupings?
I can't use column groupings, because the report gets too unruly.
Has anyone had any success accomplishing this sort of thing?

Hey John,
You are pretty much going to be stuck with the provided two row groupings & two column groupings. Can you provide a mock up of how you want the data to look? In general, I'd say you may be better off creating a dashboard and breaking out what you want reported into two side by side reports with different fields/factors,
