Is it possible to export a lead to an excel file?

I have a lead object populated by a web to lead, and at the end of an approval/workflow process I would like send an e-mail to the external person that submitted the lead with a confirmation of receipt including all of the information they submittied.

Ideally, it would be possible to attach the fields as an excel file as well.

Is this possible?
