How can I set up a workflow rule email alert so that it's associated w a donatio

I set up a workflow rule so that I receive a reminder email for all donations entered 6 months after the donation was made.  I received the email but it was not associated with any donation so I do not know which donation to follow up with.  Is there a way to set up the eminder alert so that it automatically knows which donation to associate it with?

 

I'd appreciate anyone's feedback and/or tips!

    If you have already created the WFR and it sends an email 6months after the donation date all you need to do is add the subsequent Id to the email template that is sent out.

     

    Im assuming it is an account so just put this in the email template!

     

    {!Account.Link}
