WordPress form submission to Salesforce; allow access to 'protected' documents

Hello. We have a WordPress based site. I have used Gravity Forms and similar form plugins to allow a user to access protected documents and videos upon form submission on other WordPress sites before.  So asically, the documents are 'members only', and the user signs up (for free) and gains access to specified document. Is there a way to implement this functionality  *AND* pass user form data to our Salesforce.com account?

    Hi Stacy,

    Yes, this is possible. You can have the WordPress form handle the registration/access to the protected content and then send the submitted form data to Salesforce. 

     

    The integration could create or update a Lead or Contact in Salesforce after the form is submitted. Depending on your WordPress setup, this can be done through a Salesforce integration/plugin or by using the Salesforce API from the form submission. 

     

    For the protected documents, I would keep the access-control logic on the WordPress side and use Salesforce primarily for storing the submitted lead/contact information.

    If you can share which Gravity Forms version and Salesforce edition you're using, I can suggest the specific integration approach.
