I am currently using Salesforce for Outlook and trying to map a custom look up field from Salesforce to a custom Outlook field. When I select the custom Salesforce field under Edit Field Mappings, the option to select a custom field does not appear in the Outlook dropdown. Is this a limitation, or is there a way around it? I have tried this with multiple configurations (i.e. both Directions and Salesforce to Outlook), but get the same results.
Yep, unfortunately, this is a limitation. When a lookup is referenced, it needs the ID of the record and not the name which is displayed after it grabs the ID.
