When I press convert button it shows 5 different ABC Co's that are NOT the company I'm trying to convert. How do I override this?

I am assuming here that you are using following AppExchange App: DupeCatcher (https://appexchange.salesforce.com/listingDetail?listingId=a0N30000003IYLlEAO" target="_blank)
Have you tried adding additional filter rules for Billing City, Billing State etc in your DupeCather filter?
For Example: If you have Filter Rule for Account with Filter Criteria on Account Name, add additional filter criteria for Billing State, Billing City to differentiate the account. So, if you have an account named ABC Co, 1 market street, San Jose, CA, ABC Co,1 main street, Austin, TX and now if you add or update ABC Co, 1 washington street, New York, NY it will not catch the duplicate but if you add ABC Co, 123 Main Street, San Jose, CA it will take as a dupplicate because your filter criteria is on Name, City and State and not on Street.
Try that and let me know if that works the way you want it to be. If not, I will try to install app and create a scenario in my org to get the expected results.
