Connect for Office 2010 - when will it work?

Hello, I can hardly believe it: Does salesforce not keep up with the latest versions of Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010? Just tried to install connect for Office but it doesn't work. I now found several requests in your forum  from five months ago but found no answers from salesforce. I use Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and Microsoft Office 2010. When can I expect an update of Conncect for Office 2010?

The system requirements for Connect for Office are

Microsoft® Office 2000, XP (2002), 2003, or 2007
Microsoft® Windows 2000, XP, or Vista™ (32-bit only; 64-bit is not supported)
