We sell two different products with two different formulas and I'd like to be able to make use of the product functionality, but I can't figure a way to make the price of the product a formula based calculated field.
Has anyone else tried to do this with any success?

Not really (but thanks for trying to help me out!).. more like this...
If the product had a link back to the opportunity,
product price = opportunity.assets__c * 1.3
(if 1.3 was the multiple based on the opportunities assets
