What are the ramifications of changing system from CY to FY?

Has anyone changed their system from CY to FY?  We're getting ready to do it and have read that there are serious ramifications. 

 

Does anyone have first hand experience doing this?

    Thanks James.  Did you start out with Custom FY or did you change from Calendar year to Fiscal?
