I am looking for the description of all standard salesforce field's icon, displayed on the page layout. Some of field icon description which I found are enlisted below:
But there are more icons, whose description I am not able to locate.
Any help on this is highly appricated.
A field might display one or more of the following icons:
- _img alt="Missing Value in Field icon" src="https://na7.salesforce.com/img/ple/required12.gif" /_?The field must have a value to save the record but is not required on the page layout itself.
- _img alt="Field Must be Included icon" src="https://na7.salesforce.com/img/ple/alwaysdisplay12.gif" /_?The field must be included on the page layout because either an administrator configured the field as universally required or Salesforce.com automatically requires the field. Although you cannot remove such fields, you can move them to different locations.
- _img alt="Controlling Field icon" src="https://na7.salesforce.com/img/ple/controller.gif" /_?The field is a controlling field.
- _img alt="Dependent Field icon" src="https://na7.salesforce.com/img/ple/dependent.gif" /_?The field is a dependent field.
- _img alt="Read-only icon" src="https://na7.salesforce.com/img/ple/lock12.gif" /_?The field is read only.

Well, it's ok if the icon description is removed from the help. I don't find any icon confusing. I think ALT text should work for me.
