What are some best practices in terms of organizing events and initiatives within Salesforce to be able to measure standard metrics as far as attendance and yield and eventually lead scoring? Is it best to create a single universal campaign/initiative and have all related events link back to this sole initiative? Or should you create multiple initiatives based on event type, medium, or geography? What about creating a different initiative per event? I am looking for some best practices on how best to organize. I like to think of this as building the foundation to a house, where I would like to get it right the first time by asking others who have found success in the way they have organized their marketing campaigns.

If the Campaigns truely are related to one another, for eample a Master Campaign may have 5,000 members and based on their initial respons they may or may not be a memeber of a follow-up Campaign. Then setting up a Campaign Hierarchy does have some benefits.
