Roll-up summary for checkbox fields?

We have 4 different contact record types and for one of them we need to differentiate on whether they are a specific classification of a customer. I've added a checkbox to the page layout of that particular record type it pertains to. Is it possible to total all of these contacts where this checkbox = true so that on the parent account we have a total SUM of those TYPES of contacts? The related list for CONTACTS pulls ALL but it's important to the sales team to also know how many are of this particular TYPE. (It doesn't justify another record type since all other info captured is exactly the same)

    You can't create a Roll-Up Field on the Account object that references the Contact object because they don't have a Master-Detail relationship.  

     

    For that you'll need either custom Apex Code (Development) or an App like Roll-Up Helper => https://appexchange.salesforce.com/listingDetail?listingId=a0N30000009i3UpEAI
