Unable to drop a field to the 'group across report blocks' in joined format.

I am creating a joined report with 'Opportunity Trends' and 'Services with Opportunities', and i'm not able to drop the 'Opportunity Name' field or 'stage' field (or any other field) into the 'Drop a field here to group across report blocks' field.  Is there a way around?

    try droping in the area where "Drop a field here to group across report blocks" is written ..

    for example if you show opportuninty name it will group into opportunity name group
