Does anyone have a process for entering business card information?

 Our sales team each make 25-30 calls a day, collecting business cards on each stop.  We are seeking a method to capture this information without having to manually do the data entry so we can use it within SF.com.

 

Does anyone know if Cardscan can be used or if there is another process to use?

 

We have even tried some smartphone apps, but they do not recognize the information, require entry to gmail and the export -> import to SF.com.

 

Would guess that others have the same need and may have found a solution.  Hoping so.

    You might try a business card scanning service that will human verify the data.  I use http://www.shoeboxed.com/ for receipts which works pretty well.  They also have a business card feature and a connector on AppExchange (from eFactory) although I cannot vouch for it.  They also have a mobile app to originate the scan.

     

    I have never had much luck with any kind of OCR app.
