I am having trouble understanding why a product-price is not showing up in a search when adding products to an opportunity. I see a lot written on the topic of how opportunity products work in LEX, but my problem seems to do with changes to the active checkbox in Lightning vs Classic (specifically inactive-to-active). The expected filters, oppty currency and selected price book, on the "Add Products List" works fine. But I needed to activate an old price today and while I could then see the product-price in the list, I could not find it in search. Is the add-a-product-search specific that requires some sort of indexing to show product-price when changed from inactive to active. Everything works find in Classic. I have done my best to document this in a few screen shots in LEX.

I am now seeing a similar problem with how a custom lookup field works from opportunity products to a custom object. In the normal record edit for opportunity product the lookup field (that uses a filter) works correctly. But in opportunity products multi-line layout, the lookup field does not work right. The lookup filter does not work and newly created items are not available. I think because this field does not behave as a lookup field, it uses search. And search just works weirdly with anything that has to with products, maybe some other things too.
