As part of the "beta" testers for our organization, I can honestly say Lightning is the faster and easier way to manage the SalesForce Data.
Tip #1: Don't be afraid to run huge reports, Lightning can crush it. Not like classic that would take so long to run and export huge reports.
Tip#2: Work with your SF admin to get the ToolBar and QuickLinks tab setup. Its a lifesaver!
Tip#3: Share your experience internally with other users. Lightning has so many benefits, don't hog all the knowledge.
